Prior to joining George Smith Partners in 2005, Mr. Auslander owned and managed a successful private lending company which offered high leverage financing to residential developers. To leverage the company’s core capital, he gained significant experience negotiating with lenders to structure optimal “re-discount” credit facilities. At GSP, he uses his expertise to arrange re-discount credit facilities for private and hard money lender clients.
Mr. Auslander co-directs the firm’s joint venture with an investment bank to advise clients on hedging strategies, i.e., swaps, collars, caps, etc.
Mr. Auslander holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Columbia University and a PhD from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
