Ms. Rivera brings over 10 years of experience as a commercial real estate lender and broker to George Smith Partners. She specializes in orgination, deal structuring, and placement of debt and equity for commercial real estate projects. During her tenure at GSP, Ms. Rivera has facilitated, structured, underwritten, and closed several billion dollars in debt and equity financing for all property types.
Prior to joining GSP, Ms. Rivera founded Global Energy Finance, an energy-focused debt and equity placement firm. Ms. Rivera has also served as principal of US-based Sperry Van Ness|Better Capital Partners, a commercial real estate investment banking division dedicated to assist Sperry Van Ness advisors and their clients obtain financing. She was primarily responsible for the origination, analysis and placement of debt and equity for commercial and industrial projects throughout the United States, Canada, Caribbean and Mexico. Additionally, Ms. Rivera worked as an analyst and underwriter for Washington Mutual (now JP Morgan Chase), closing $2 billion worth of portfolio loans and commercial mortgage backed securities.
Ms. Rivera holds Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science degrees from University of California Los Angeles.
