Prior to joining George Smith Partners in 2010, Mr. Chagan served as Chief Financial Officer and Director of Operations for a family-run portfolio of limited-service hotels in California. During his tenure, Mr. Chagan managed two start-up hotels; each earning awards in guest satisfaction and quality assurance. His duties included site acquisition, asset disposition, equity raising, debt financing, and entity formation, as well as managerial duties including monitoring receivables, payables, payroll, and human resource administration.
Mr. Chagan earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance, Real Estate, and Business Law from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. After receiving his California real estate broker’s license in 2006, Mr. Chagan headed a commercial real estate financing firm, arranging financing throughout the United States from hospitality and retail properties to special use entertainment venues.
